Carlos Mayers is a self-defined entrepreneur. He is an artist and computer technologist. He has created and launched several innovative websites and instagrams campaigns to socially engage the youth. He is an avid coder in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Carlos is a ninth grader at Berkeley Carroll Upper School where he plays 2nd violin in the Upper school orchestra and serves on the school debate team.
Carlos is the Jr. Teen President for Jack and Jill of America, Brooklyn chapter and has participated in annual youth legislative and leadership conferences. Carlos has produced and directed many short films using Final Cut Express.
Scout Carlos is the Assistant Patrol leader for Boy Scout Troop 409 at his home church Cornerstone Baptist church. Carlos can be found participating in church annual events such as “Flowers for the Living”.
Carlos is a youth spokesperson for Colgate Palmolive travelling around the country to work with young people to understand proper oral hygiene.
Carlos served as the youth keynote speaker for the Association for Blacks in Energy national conference in Newark New Jersey.
Carlos understands the importance of community service and as such participates in the following events on an annual basis:

Carlos enjoys skateboarding and sketching.
In 2006 Carlos was selected to have a painting of his presented on exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum. The exhibit was entitled, “A Year with Children” and his painting depicted his views of an early eco-friendly New York.
